Love vs Fear Energy

Most people have experienced an ongoing battle of love vs fear of energy. Depending which energy we are in, it can dictate what we experience, receive and share in our lives. When we are in fear energy we may try to control things, predict what will happen and are hyper aware of other people’s actions and responses. We may view our environment or surroundings in a fearful way. Assuming people are trying to hurt us, being defensive or ready to pick a fight. While if we are in love energy, we can feel safe, supported and accepting. Experiencing the world by allowing things to flow, having faith and trust.  We can have two completely different experiences based on if we are in Love or Fear energy. So how can we understand what energy we are in? And what awareness and tools can help us change our energy and experience?


Many things influence what energy we choose to participate in and share with others. If someone has had a tough life, always experiencing struggle or feeling like people and the world are working against them, then it would be hard to jump over to love energy. It might feel like dreaming or wishing for things to be better. But having a hard reality with harsh experiences can easily outweigh the wish for a better experience. So, first thing to realize is it is ok to deal with the reality you have or are experiencing. Having compassion for yourself and respect for what journey you have been on. When we experience heavy fear energy and are surrounded by people that also choose it, it can seem impossible to create a different experience. But the good news is that yes it can happen by slowly chipping away and choosing change.

 

Each experience in every moment we are choosing love or fear energy. Say you have to go do a personal errand that is normally stressful, or you had bad experiences with. You may go into it saying oh here we go again. It’s going to be stressful. You might be on edge and ready to be defensive to get the outcome you need. But in that moment, you just chose fear energy. So, guess what you can expect to receive back? Yup, more fear energy. So instead, it’s ok to say yes it normally goes bad, but today I don’t know how but it’s going to be an easy experience. In that moment you chose to be in love energy. And you set yourself up for an easier experience, by choosing love energy.

 

Now if that sounds too easy and a little airy fairy, I completely understand. It might not go super easy the first time you try. But it might be a little better and at least not as bad as it once was. But it will never change until you choose something different. The same goes for who you decide to socialize with, date, or work with. You can decide what energy you want to be in. What are you sharing or bringing to the situation? Then notice what matches that energy or what is clashing with it. You may finally see that bigger changes need to be made. Or it’s ok not to match the fearful energy of others and hold loving energy.

 

The next time you go to the grocery store what are you bringing to that experience? If you are in fear energy you might try to get in and out fast. Rushing down the aisles, upset at any delays checking out and frustrated with annoying people around you. If you go in with loving energy you might receive help getting just what you need. You might have a pleasant conversation with a stranger. You’ll walk away calmer, happier and more at peace. It’s all about a choice. But it doesn’t mean you have to fix things, create a certain outcome or even fear what the outcome might be. Trust and faith are a huge part of being in loving energy.

 

If you have hard challenges going on be compassionate and patient with yourself and others. Don’t expect to have to solve something. Feeling emotions like sadness or grief is ok and a natural part or life. Set the intent to receive love in those situations instead of the fear of trying to do it all yourself. Start paying attention to what energy you are choosing every day and every moment. Set the intention to try and be in loving energy. But still have compassion if you are practicing getting out of fear energy. Choose love energy and see how you can change your experience every day.
